Dawn Osborn (Senior Scrub Nurse/Theatre Sister)

‘As a scrub nurse; going to Coast Provincial General Hospital, was a real and unforgettable challenge. When you arrive in the Kenyan Hospital it is wonderful to experience the different environment, equipment used, and their different ways of doing things. There are amazing, stoic and resourceful patients who travel for miles to get to you. It all leaves an imprint on your life, and you soon realise that you have become a member of a team, who quickly become your friends. The experience of this trip really makes you appreciate what you have back home. Also it is a memory that will always last.’
